ANA-Ohio Announces New Government Relations Partnership
ANA-Ohio is pleased to announce that the Board of Directors has selected Ockerman Consulting to serve as the association’s lobbying and government relations partner.
Following a competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) process, the Board approved the recommendation after reviewing proposals from ten highly qualified firms. The selection followed multiple rounds of evaluation, interviews, and thoughtful consideration by ANA-Ohio leadership.
This partnership marks an exciting milestone as ANA-Ohio continues to strengthen its advocacy efforts and elevate the voice of Ohio’s more than 200,000 registered nurses at the Statehouse.
“Our members have consistently identified advocacy as one of the most valuable benefits of ANA-Ohio membership,” said Tiffany Bukoffsky, MHA, BSN, RN, Executive Director of ANA-Ohio. “Ockerman Consulting demonstrated a strong understanding of our mission, a strategic approach to advancing our legislative priorities, and a genuine commitment to ensuring nurses have a meaningful voice in shaping healthcare policy across Ohio. We are excited to begin this partnership.”
ANA-Ohio will work closely with Aaron Ockerman and Isaac Northrop, who bring extensive experience in government relations, coalition building, public policy, and legislative advocacy.

Together, ANA-Ohio and Ockerman Consulting will focus on advancing legislative priorities that support the nursing profession, improve patient outcomes, and strengthen Ohio’s healthcare system. The partnership will include monitoring legislation, building relationships with policymakers, providing strategic advocacy guidance, and creating additional opportunities for members to engage in the legislative process.
Advocacy is a cornerstone of ANA-Ohio’s mission. As healthcare continues to evolve, this new partnership reinforces the association’s commitment to championing policies that empower nurses, improve healthcare delivery, and promote healthier communities throughout Ohio.
