Call for Presenters & Poster Abstracts

ANA-Ohio invites nurses at all levels of practice—students, bedside clinicians, advanced practice nurses, educators, leaders, and researchers—to submit speaker or poster abstracts for consideration for the upcoming in-person conference, Navigating an Evolving Profession: The Ethical Compass of Nursing Practice.

This conference will explore how ethical principles guide nursing practice amid rapid changes in healthcare, education, technology, policy, and workforce dynamics.

Presentation & Poster Topics of Interest

Abstracts should align with the conference theme and ANA-Ohio’s Guiding Values (Advocacy, Knowledge, Leadership, Transparency, Well-Being, & Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) and may include, but are not limited to:

  • Ethical challenges in clinical practice
  • Professional integrity and moral resilience
  • Health equity, advocacy, and social justice
  • Ethics in nursing leadership and education
  • Technology, AI, and ethical decision-making
  • Interprofessional collaboration and ethics
  • Emerging roles and evolving standards of care
  • Case studies, quality improvement, research, or evidence-based practice

Presenter Expectations

  • Presenters must register and pay to attend the conference
  • Honoraria, travel, and/or lodging reimbursement must be disclosed during the submission process.
    • It is not guaranteed that ANA-Ohio will be able to reimburse these expenses, however, this disclosure will not prohibit or limit your selection.
  • Presenters must be available to present on the scheduled conference dates
  • Accepted presenters will be required to submit slides and/or materials in advance
  • Disclosure of conflicts of interest will be required

Poster Abstract Submission Guidelines

  • Must be available to present on Friday and Saturday, May 29-30, 2026.
    • Attendance exceptions will be considered for student poster presenters not available to attend on Friday, May 29.
  • If selected, poster presenters must register to attend the conference. 
    • A pre-licensure student registration rate will be offered, as well as early-bird discounted rates.
  • Abstracts must be evidence-based and relevant to nursing practice.
  • Abstract maximum length: 250 words
